Once again
The joke is on me
The laughing echoes through my mind
Telling me I have been a fool
I wanted to join in the laugh
But the heart is heavy
Heavy with tears
Yet to be cried out
I put on a smile
The very best one
And yet I find the clown inside me
Has no more jokes to offer
