The Last Seconds On Earth

Contributed by irisheyes09 on Thursday, 8th January 2009 @ 09:05:33 AM in AEST
Topic: fictional

I open my eyes and hear a faint voice
All i make out is "we have no other choice"
I slowy wake up and listen once more
Then i hear "end", "this time for sure".

I jump out of bed with awe and surprise
The fear creeps inside me it shows in my eyes
I turn on tv to see if its true
Everythings blank i havent a clue.

I rush to the street to try find out there
Not one person walking and no birds in the air
Am i alone without any help
Should i start screaming or whimper a yelp.

I look to my right my body stands still
Transfixed on this object its making me ill
Then i think "god" "maybe im dead"?
So little ive seen So much thats unsaid.

The sky gets darker every second i stare
No one to stop it no one to care
The objects upon me i let out a cry
"Thank you god for the gift of life"i bid you goodbye.

Yup, pretty good there. I found myself transfixed to it until that bewildering end. :-( That's sad and even though fictional, it definitely makes one think.

Thanks and take care,

Tim
