Let sleeping dogs lie
dont try
to hit
for it
isnt a wise thing to do.
Theyll bite
with delight
even when
they comprehend
just what theyre biting into.
Take heed
and concede
I know
it is so
Ive been bitten a time or two
Let them doze
in repose
or theyll snap
like a trap
and grab a piece of you.

| I enjoy the rhyme scheme, but the ideas conveyed in each stanza seem repetitive. There doesn't seem to be anything new communicated with each one. |
