Alone I sit, forever staring At the clock and its slow ticking I tear my gaze away from watching And listen to the sound of nothing In my ears, my heart is beating And then the telephone starts ringing Of course, I hear the keys are tapping As I think and then start typing I look back at the clock still ticking And hope that time has been rushing But what I find is disappointing Indeed, I think, it must be slowing The time it seems, is not moving I roll my eyes and cant help sighing At how time teases cos Im checking To observe, if its still flowing

Time is a strange beast indeed.
When you want it to go slow it goes fast, when you want it to speed up it crawls.
You're right when you say it teases us !!
