Darkness Bound

Contributed by butterflyperfect on Monday, 12th January 2009 @ 04:54:05 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Here in a room
Black as night
Nothing to see
Nothing in sight

Notes on the piano
Never seemed so pure
Now I know
Now I am sure

I am falling into this darkness
By every note I play
All I want to hear
Is what you've got to say

For in this darkness
I pretend you're in the room
A desire I have
To see you someday soon

I can't understand
How all of this started
But all other emotions
Seem like they have been parted

For they are no match
To what I now feel
The thought of it all
Seems so real

If you were only here
In this dark room with me
To hear my notes
Then you would see

That my desire is burning
And my soul melting from the heat
For some reason
You put my heart back on beat

So here I am
Darkness bound
Just sitting in the dark
Waiting to be found

it was a very passionate and heartfelt write. i could see you in the room with the piano, waiting. i particularly enjoyed the final 2 stanzas, they were like the climactic crescendo to the symphony that came before it. great writing.
