Do not use the words forbidden From the poetree These are words that I have written And you'll let them be
Other words for you I've hidden In those trees there you will find Many words and some will rhyme
If you use the words forbidden And hurt people that you've written From the poetree they'll carve a sword Stab your heart and me your Lord
Yes the poetree will splinter Forty days and nights of winter And then silence will befall You and me and one and all

| I was a member of www.poesiavirtual.com but since the war many of the poets politicized their poems. We were sent an email asking us to refrain from this and this poem was my answer to the problem. Ironically, the site just closed within hours of my posting this poem. |
