Those Words are Said In Vain

Contributed by EcuaOrgullo310 on Thursday, 22nd January 2009 @ 08:51:51 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I'm standing here, my emotions are drained,
wondering why I have so much pain.
I lay in bed and fight the tears,
something no one should have to go through at 15 or any years,
With one friend we cried together,
holding and comforting each other in the cold weather.
He cried with me, and shared my pain,
until our clothes were tear stained.
Thanks to him, that one day I got through,
but the rest of my life, what am I to do?
No other man can break my heart,
when my heart is aleady torn apart.
I feel it's been torn and ripped into pieces,
Even if my hearts put back together, the pain it seems never ceases!
I wish I could turn my heart into stone,
but then I would probably die alone!
Emotions I'm feeling, I can't destroy,
how can someone treat a heart as if it was a toy?
I can't say the words I long to say,
"Why with my heart you had to play?"
When I look deep into your blue eyes,
My heart and soul just want to cry!
It seemed you moved on so easily,
then why should I carry on so uneedily?
It is not needed to cry so much,
But I just can't help but miss your touch!
Even the word "I Love YOU" (from him) cause me pain,
Because I know those words are said in VAIN!

You'd be surprised how easily and how often the heart can break. We always live through it though...well, not always, but mostly we survive.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
