As the night approaches dawn
Im still tossing in my bed
Trying to drive the demons
Those are dancing in my head
My eyes are weary; my mind is not
I lay my head to rest
Even my reflection treats me like a guest
A man thats got his past to bear
Is like a nightmare in a dream
He has to face the harsh reality
If the one he trusts should set a snare
Hell hear his own tired scream
His blessing is his curse cant you see?
Lying in the dark
I feel emptiness around
A life of broken dreams
Is the only thing, Ive found
Handsome is as handsome does, is what it used to be
Now money conceals every thing of beauty.
A man thats got his past to bear
Is like a nightmare in a dream
He has to face the harsh reality
