Fizzled Out

Started out yesterday
chipper and bright,
but going today is more of a fight.
Met a late in the day crisis
that caused great stress
and the stress turns well-being
into quite a mess.
To meet each day's challenge to fill a need,
fills me with purpose for a worthwhile good deed.
I wish I knew how
to render good service
without fizzling out,
getting tense and nervous.
I rebeled against my human fraility,
but when I'm sick
I'm forced to face the truthful reality.
Its a safeguard against vanity's hero,
keeps the praise for the Lord...
and mine...
down to....zero!

| Dear Bizzy, I don't know how I missed this earlier, but this one is truly beautiful. when you become zero god certainly acts his will through you. .. I have seen your comment on ' message to youth" .. it puzzled me a little but one thing is sure.. your poetry is nice.. you are a blessed soul... may that sacred word of God be heard through your divine heart. venkat |
