Come apart from boorish life and walk with me a while,
Speak, my love, your sweetest words and let me see your smile
Take my hand, we'll go this way and rest beside that stone
Where what I'll speak are for your ears, for your heart alone
In dreams alone I've seen this place, a place for you and I
Where we alone can be ourselves where we can e'er abide
The cool green between our toes, your head upon my chest
Would sooth my anxious, waiting heart and give much needed rest
Awake my love, though we must go, we must recall this place
For here our love was strengthened, it shared our warm embrace
You came apart from boorish life and walked with me a while
You spoke, my love, your sweetest words and sure I saw your smile
