A Pink Jelly Bean

She offered me a jelly bean She said that I was sweet I took her on her offer In the hope that we could meet
I suggested a feed and drinks At the new cafe up town We could have coffee and sundaes All I got was a frown
So I asked for my jelly bean She said that it is pink What a stupid colour She stared without a blink
I knew my time had ended Over a pink jelly bean She ate the jelly bean herself And claimed that I was mean
I laugh about it now What a silly thing to do To get so worked up for jelly beans And a stupid pink one too!

I love this poem! I agree...love and romance are very fickle. |
