writers and poets are not the same thing

Topic: oops

This about a writing test I have to take I'm not a writer I think of myself as a poet
Now if you can write stories and poems good for you I can't I've tried I'll just stick to poetry like this

There is a difference between a writer and a poet
I think I'm a poet at heart
People are asking me to write five paragraphs
and I don''t know where to start
I can't find how to start a story
I just know how to read them especially when their gory

Writing is a passion
but five paragraphs and five stanzas
two completely different things
Stanzas make my heart sing
paragraphs are just old fashion

Really in paragraphs I don''t know what to say
Stanzas make it easier to flow the words
stanzas I can do this
paragraphs well that's a big difference
Poetry makes my heart sing
paragraphs I my hearts voice out of tune

Writing paragraphs isn't my place
I write poems as if apart of my own race
Finally my conclusion is to bring
That's writers and poets are not the same thing

"paragraphs I my hearts voice out of tune" This line did not do it for me... but yes poets can be writers and writers can be poets. but they are not the same.
two separate and full disciplines ooohhh yeah!
