aidless with AIDS

surging through my blood
i tells ya its not good
fate has its final joke
and god it pulled a good one
they've given me 20 years
but atleast now i can live without fear i suppose
tainted bllod flows in my veins
yet i am calm i have no pains
i no longer ponder to the end
but the future i can spend
fate is'nt cruel
and well ive a good run
and now and then a pun
a romance or two
no longer shall i waste what have left
fate has given me a reason to live by killing me
not a second shall i waste
nothing i shan't taste
smell
feel
or live
im free now
thank you fate
why should i be sad
if anything i should be glad
to the end my readers
use your potential
live
write a poem
maybe in my memory
live a love
do the unimaginable
for me
do the things i can no longer do
for me
LIVE

so thank you all for your support and well goodbye and even though i know not your names your souls have inspired me and lets hope we will meet beyond the abyss c ya on the other side readers Bye

it's good that you are looking at it both ways but HIV and full blown AIDS are 2 different things. I'm sorry to hear that you have HIV but don't let that make you feel hopeless. 20 years is not a full life unless you are already 60 but as you said you've been given the guts to make it a full life now. Enjoy it.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
