She was a compassionate and soft spoken lass, She was a girl who possessed clairvoyance. She had exceptional talent and a profound insight, And was always very tolerant. She was an artist extraordinaire, She also had a flair For psychology and philosophy, And all that was fair.
Sometimes this fervent girl Gets too carried away with her dreams. Sometimes she drifts off into a trance She dreams of her future, so it seems.
He was an ambitious lad and a pompous prince. He liked to be egocentric. He had his own way with everything And was a tad too eccentric.
You could call him the paragon of lethargy Yet he won't take offence. But he'll turn around and probably tell you- "That is indeed true, my friend."
She was one among the very few, Who saw the real person within him. She saw right through all the false pretense And she fell in love with the prince.
For a long long time now, She kept her feelings suppressed. She talked to him everyday, Laughed with him in every way, She was a good companion to him, But nothing more than that.
Not once did our prince guess her true intentions, He remained a good comrade to her. He never sensed her feelings And the agony that she suffered.
One fine day when she woke up she realized, She had to come out with her emotions. She had to confess to him somehow, Releasing all her inhibitions.
As she wasn't brave enough to face him, A messenger carried her message. He received the love note, and, As he read the contents of the page, The expression that was visible in his eyes Was genuine surprise.
He didn't know how to respond. After contemplating for a while, He wrote down a reply.
The messenger returned with a message. The anxious girl opened the parchment, With her hands quivering, you know. His reply was a mere acknowledgment of her letter In the form of an "oh!"
She could make neither heads nor tails of this answer, She wished he had replied better And was dismayed that cupid had hit her.
They continued their comradeship Despite the turn of events. Her love for him never mitigated Though he treated her only as a friend.
Sometimes she got infuriated at him for no reason, She took out her anger at him, even in spring season. He could find no plausible explanation for her frenzy, Nevertheless he tolerated it all patiently.
Months later she resolved, To speak out her love again. This time she hoped that Her efforts wouldn't be vain.
As she looked into his sparkling brown eyes She expressed her feelings for him. She spoke out her thoughts directly And was hoping this time, to win.
But the prince was very confused, Shocked and dismayed too. He really didn't know how To deal with this truth. He took a deep breath and began to say, "Princess, love is not for us, nay!!!"
Tears welled up in her eyes, She couldn't get words out of her. She wished she had never told him, She regretted her blunder.
She turned around and ran As fast as she could. He didn't try to stop her, The same place he stood.
Thereon she stopped talking to him... She tried to forget the memory of him.. But it was hard to forget him that soon It was as tough as trying to eat noodles with a spoon!
She tried to leave the province, But she didn't have elsewhere to go. Her best friend came into the picture And tried giving her many a lecture And taught her everything she had to know.
The girl began to concentrate On more impotant things. She realised she had wasted her precious time Whining and whimpering.
So she set out to do what she was meant to do. She did a lot of charity. She also poured her emotions down In the form of art and writing. Her works glittered in the public gallery And the folks admired her kindness and wisdom. She felt happier by the day And finally stopped to miss him.
But she felt that love had taught her A very painful lesson. Love had carved a niche in her heart But she was out of the delusion...
She was now happy with the way Her life was turning out to be... She was so sure of never again Falling in love with anybody...
So she always thought this is how Her story was going to end. She also laughed when the wise said That's not the ending, my friend..
She might have vowed to remain a spinster But God thought otherwise. Love decided to entangle her again And this time it was very nice..
She finally married her real prince T'was nothing like before... She was always in pure bliss And wanted nothing more...
So you should believe me when I say That things end unexpected. That is why the story of the so called "Hater of love" narrated!!!
