When you said you didnt
Thats okay with me
I admitted I love you
And you said that you dont
Thats just fine with me
Can we be friends?
Then you said yes
And we were friends
Just for a while
In your stories you tell me
Of this girl you came to love
And how much you wanted her
And I was thinking,
How much I wish that girl was me
While part of me knows besides
I dont care were just friends
I dont care were not lovers
Let me open your heart
Let me have my time
I dont want you with anyone else
Im not being jealous
Nor am I selfish
I dont want you with anyone else
I know they cant make you happy
Like the way I can
I dont want to be with anyone else
I know they wont ever make me glad
The way you can
Look at me
