Are they dreams or a yearning
These visons I have
The scents that surround me
The touches of comfort and flame
They all seem so real
Her breath on my warming skin
Her angelic face in my hands
Her soft lips kissing mine
Silken hair cascades through my fingers
Her arms holding me close
I feel her heartbeat booming
As mine races to keep time
I look into the depths of her eyes
They sparkle...dazzle...shine
Peering deep down inside of me
As I willingly bare my soul
Her soft voice finds me rapt
Whispering sweet thoughts to me
Filling me with passion and desire
'til I can hear nothing more
They brighten my darkest days
Consuming my lonely nights
These visions I have
These dreams I bid welcome
I've been here before...days past
The memories never fail to linger
I find myself counting the seconds
Longing to remember again
From moment to moment to moment
And times upon countless times
To make them all come true
Is all that I'm asking
Are they dreams or a yearning
These visions I have
My heart...it keeps asking
Crying out its hunger for more

you captured the sense of yearning perfectly with this work. the dreams, the images flashing through your mind, the anticipation, the disappointment, the irritation that there is no substance to it all. a superb write!
