Everyone is a fiend
When you start to gleen
Count yourself lucky
If it's half what it seems
Trust everything to spite
What it is that you learned
Live in constant motion
To forget how you've burned
Sacrifice your own self
To forget the past
Concentrate on the now
To see how you last
Your stained window visions
Leave you all but blind
Searching for something
That you'll never find
Something you can't know
Despite how you look
You'd simply regain it
If you weren't the crook
But you are
If your idea was close
But it's far
If you felt
Instead of saw
With the emotionless view
That does appall
You and the rest
It's always been best
For all
When you take the fall.
So take the fall
Again.

| I was enjoying the write and thought I knew where it was going until the last 4 stanzas and lost full understanding of the meaning. for me the poem fell apart. |
