Fly away little bird Away from the nest Mommy can't always shelter you From all the rest
You have to spread your wings And jump toward the sun Because your journey Has only just begun
It's okay to be afraid It's a normal emotion Just don't sit and cry You'll cause a commotion
You gotta have faith Keep hope in your heart That's always the best Way to start
So fly away little bird Away from your nest Show the world You're the very best

Bravo Bravo! I am drawn to these types of poems. I remember reading a poem once about a little bird who thought it couldn't fly and then the mother bird - pushed and he flew.
This poem spoke of birds and of people taking chances. Not all of us fly toward the sun, some of us are coasters that hover toward infinity. *Smiling*
Wonderful poem, keep writing!
