A Saturday in March

Today has potential to be infinite. Like any other day.
Ending only when you say so - The clock will not protest.
It's in the rush of a full day ahead, The thrill of stolen freedom.
Because I can smell the raw scent of life, The sun seems too good to be true today.
It's like the smell of fall; Something changing- existing and breathing.
I can't escape the words in my head, But I'll forget them just for awhile.
The endlessness of today - I can't be contained!
No responsibilities will tie me down, Because I'm too young for that.
If we run through times zones; This could last forever.
This feeling, these moments - Forever in my mind.
There's the sunset in my rearview, But I drive with the windows down -
So this day won't end.
