Sweet misery You got me crying You got me trying Trying to breathe Trying to break free But I can't escape you No, not you sweet misery You've become a part of me Like an ill-fated destiny You got the best of me Still you won't let go, no Not you sweet misery You're the core of my history My forecast into tomorrow The barer of my sorrow And after all these years And all these tears You still find ways to erase the blue from my skies Oh sweet misery How you lay heavy inside my eyes You keep my heart broken So silent and unspoken But you never neglect me No, not you sweet misery You leave me no place to hide You're always right by side Showering me with those painful memories Crawling on hands and knees Oh how you love to watch me suffer You're truly evil like no other Sweet misery, my star crossed lover When dreams aren't made to come true When I lose everything I ever loved I'll always have you... My sweet sweet misery.

Ah the sweet misery I seem to know this word well of late. Life seems cruel at times no doubt.
What can we do about it though? SIt down or try harder??
Incredible verse, I felt this deeply, could make me cry.
Hope misery leaves you soon
hugs and hugs

Only one thing wrong with this poem, and that is a single spelling mistake on the 15th verse. "Barer," should be spelled, "bearer." Other than that, excellent job. A very somber piece of literature, well written. Not sure what motivated you to write this poem, but I hope things get better if you are experiencing a misfortunate time in your life. We've all been there, and sometimes it just seems like misery won't let go. Then you keep pushing and pushing, it still won't let go. When you think you've lost all hope and motivation in life, that's what either makes you or breaks you. Take care my friend and keep writing. |
