Our Love

Contributed by MoonlightKiss on Thursday, 12th March 2009 @ 12:23:11 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Warm summer days will fade to fall
Like our love; it's the seasons' way to stall
So the winter doesn't freeze the flowers
Our feelings blew apart in their final hours
The leaves begin to change in the same way
The soft, gentle breeze seems to say
"I know it hurts so much today,
But soon, I promise, it will all be okay."
Watch the leaves float down from the sky
As our love and the trees begin to die
Cold nights in December bring frozen hearts
As sewn up wounds slowly come apart
A world of delicate, fragile possessions
A time of starry, heartfelt confessions
The moon witnesses loss of guidance
And the feel of solace doesn't really make sense
I'll stand by and watch us come undone
Feel the defeat; the winter has won
Now all we have are memories of that time
When our love was untouched snow;
Pristine and fine.

you have the right idea. sometimes losing isn't so bad when you can accept it. I feel you. it's when you can't accept it that it becomes a harrasing ghoul. hang in there and enjoy life as it comes to you.
