To understand your life and heart
You must first know where to start...
I was born to a young naive girl
My mom was not at all great
She is quite irresponsible
And most often late
She cares though
Even though she fails at showing it
I have learned that the hard way
Just bit by bit
For I grew up with her
And two other sisters
The way we fought
Had to leave blisters
The fact of the matter is
That I survived it all
Looking back on it
It feels so very small
For it feels like an eternity has passed
Since I have even heard her voice
But I blamed myself
Because leaving was my choice
Now I understand that the fault is not mine
It never was
This realization knocked me cold off my feet
All I saw was constant fuzz
For I finally understood
Something that I for so long held in
Was not my burden
Not my sin
So all that happened
In my past
I could not control it
My heart was free at last
For finding answers
To your nightmares
Lets you see hope you once lost
And find who really cares
So today I stand still broken at the seams
Slowly healing my lost and withered dreams...

This is so sad and emotionally charged... I felt your pain as I read along.... I think you know she does care...even tho she cannot or does not show it.
You should talk to her... Be strong...
