i run through the storm
and fall to my knees
trickles become streams and torrents of tears
rain pounds my shoulders
darkness engulfs me
alone i stand there
pray for my soul
im afraid i know that
lost i may be
but alone i am not
you stand before me
you say that your sorry i laugh a laugh unheard but that echoes in my soal
so painful that burns like hot coals
you say again your sorry
i reply what for
killing your trust in me you claim
but i loved you for you
indifferent the same
you were my freind
for 21 years
i loved you
and lost
and im glad i knew you no doubt of the cost
im thankful for the life that you led
my paul your at peace i suppose
your fought to the end in a world underserving
my paul
my sweet freind
to the bitter end
my english rose
i stand admist the darkness and herald you farewell
the journey you must wander the one i some day must know
you yeild your presence in flickers of sweet spring glow
i must go now you silently whisper
i stutter i know
and amongst dawns red break on feild of sweet spring dew
i waver your presence im sure that you see me
as i see you
and embarking now
in fleets of radiant light
you phaze just out of sight
and when you found me on yesterday morn
outside our doorpost
you query what happend in a tearful embrace
i got lost i proclaim
and an old freind came
and he led me guided me down the lane
