Can't concentrate on what I should,
Lately I just can't take this,
I just really wish you would,
leave my mind, for some time,
let me be me again,
it's like I've been my enemy,
never my friend.
Everytime I think I've got a break,
another thought sneaks up on me.
It's like I'm trapped, can't get out,
keep going back to fantasy.
You're a phantom, I can feel you,
I can hear you in my head,
can feel you touch my skin,
and cold sweat covers my bed.
I just can't escape how perfect we were,
but that was only once upon a time.
It was the sweetest of dreams,
just too good to last, ending as sour as lime.
You're a ghost in my dreams,
and as strange as it seems,
I almost kind of like the pain,
cause once more I can hear you,
can see you, can feel you,
bittersweet memory to drive me insane.
Even though, now I know,
who you have become now,
who you were, who I loved,
just won't leave me somehow.
I can't give my feelings to another,
keep pushing them away,
friends, parents and my brother,
because I just don't know what to say.
