Lower the Casket

Topic: DarkPoetry

Lower the casket shade of rotting pine
lowering, shock trickles down your severed spine
much like a basket lowered from a stain glass window
black widows crawl upon your sunken face
feeding on your misdemeaning soul
you're unwilling to take control of what is yours
as the number of feet increase to six
eyes dilate, the coffin reaches the soil
stare your murderer in the sickened ugly face
that has emerged to become
dressed in suit and you in a burial gown
filth covers you
for the dark brown soil falls upon the nailed shut lid
the bodies among you, timid, as a newcomer has arrived
pounding of the murderers heart filled your ears
hate in your veins
heart still maimed for the wounds it has received
motionless and cold are you as the grave is being filled
your lowered defenses weaken you
paralyzing you in the stance of dying
shortly you reminisce of the cruel memories prying at
your suffering bloodied heart
ripped soul
blood as crimson as a prim rose flood
suffocating you in a world of red
dead are you now on this moonlit night
pleasure on the face opposite you, a face of pain, suffering, and death
task has been fulfilled
not even a shivering stone to mark your existence
murderer without a morsel of persistence walks away
ignoring your silent moans
in time your demise will be known only to you.

what prompted it? good question. september 11th perhaps?

it must be hard to have someone set up to be murdered and then buried....

it's good to be above all that kind of stuff...
