Agoraphobia

Contributed by Voice of the Silent on Wednesday, 15th April 2009 @ 09:36:16 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Agoraphobia is the fear of open spaces for those who may not know

The Open Space
It Makes My Heart Race
Theres Nowhere To HIDE
Im Vulnerable
My House Is Small therefore Im Safe
I Will Enclose Myself in my mind
All So I Can HIDE
From The Reality Of It All
The world Is To Big Nowhere To HIDE At ALL
Closed Spaces My Friend
Ill Never Come Out Into The Open AGAIN
Agoraphobia My Curse
What Could Make Life Worse?
Im A Coward In My Mind
Forever To Spend The Rest Of Time
Alone In My Closed Space
But My Space Keeps My Heart From Starting To Race

The only thing I wanted to say is that the high level of CAPS really helped to carry the theme of "panic". Not sure if that's what you were going for, but it certainly worked.

I can relate to this sometimes. This is an excellent poem. I can certainly feel the panic in it

you conveyed the fear superbly, especially with the caps, well done.
