I wrote this poem just for you
To pick you up
When you're feeling blue
To calm you down
When you're feeling rude
Picture a kitten
Better yet, picture two
One is me
And one is you
We jump and play
Or sleep all day
Attack smaller creatures
Without delay
If relaxation is what you seek
Imagine the sounds
Of a lazy creek
Crickets and birds
Buzzing and chirps
Either way
I'll brighten your day
A smile on your face
That won't go away
Now you're grinning
From ear to ear
If you ever need another
I'll be right here.
