Pull back this veil of blue
Streaming from my eyes
Can I give myself to you?
Can I melt into you?
My fiery heart burning anew
Explosive flames, cherubic fire
Can I dissolve into you?
May I be absorbed into you?
Eyes, pools of light, ring true
Blue and liquidous, white and intense
May I recede into you?
Should I conjoin myself to you?
Skin and flesh, blood and sinew
Face of a god, angular and bright
Can I collapse into you?
No you may not, you don't understand
You're just a friend; I'm an uninterested man
This kind of love would consume us both
You know I can't do this, you know who I am
