i am a teenager
i want to have fun
i want a tan from the sun
i want many friends
i want us to last till the end
i want to be famous
i want to be glamorous
i want, because i want
not because i need
i am a teenager
i want to experiment new things
dancing, swiming or even sing
i want to please the flesh
although the flesh never pleases me
being cool is the new groove
so everyone is making that big move
buying designers and trying to live life smooth
i am a teenager once
and its good to be cool
so i talked to God
because i dont want to live life like a fool
i am the best i can be
i am no one but me
i want the bible, because i want it
and because i need it.
what makes me unique is the
light of God that lives in me
i want to be cool, and dive in the pool
but the light of God has set me free

| I liked this poem, especially the subject matter. As a Catholic Christian teenager I can identify with this, and I'm glad you stick up for your beliefs. Good poem. |
