I still remember when they said we wouldn't make it
That we wouldn't last more than a day
They said we weren't strong enough to make it
But is your arms is where I am today.
I recall when they waited for us to lose it
When they waited for us to fall apart
They thought they knew that we would lose it
But I am still the only one in your heart
And I can feel you within me; within my soul
When I'm with you, I know that you make me whole
And I love you so much; you don't even know
They can stand by, in shock, and watch our love continue to grow...
I still remember the first time we said "I love you"
When we made it past the six month mark
It's been almost a year now
And I can still feel that same old spark
Hold me now, while we're together
Tell me I'm the only one right for you
Whisper in my ear; tell me "forever"
Feel my body against you; know it is true.

another great one moonlightkiss... i'm starting to become a fan of your work. This one reminds me very much of when I first started dating my ex. All our friends said we were crazy and it wouldn't last a week... we were together and happy for almost 8 years before she passed.
" When I'm with you, I know that you make me whole
And I love you so much; you don't even know"
How many times I have said or thought these exact words....extaordinary poetry.

This is a very beautiful story. You make rhyming a part of the poem without making it the focus. Keep them coming :)
