The wind came today; I had no time to prepare The house, it quaked The stable, it shaked
The rain came today; I just wasn't ready The ground, it sank The dog, he stank The swamp, it rank
The clouds came today; I had no time to prepare The sun, it fled The dog, I fed The horse, I led Then me, to bed
The wife came today; I just wasn't ready The wife, unhappy The lips, a bit yappy Like coagulated taffy Just not so "laughy"

Well your poem certainly made me smile.
I thought it upbeat, lively and full of flair.
