No food, no cigarettes, no company about
Im just glad that we know how to go without!
Low electricity, no gas, one stupid set of clothes
This life is not a life that I would have chose.
I havent got a mobile phone nor any friends to phone
Even a dogs got more than me at least hes got a bone!
This is no great literature its me having a moan
If we dont sort something out
We might not even have a home.
I dont need nor want any of this,
What truly matters is more important than this
We still have each over if only for a while
Its the little that I DO have, which sometimes makes me smile.

| I really loved this poem, it has touched a nerve within me in that it reminds me of my daughters who are somtimes in the same situation as the words you portray. Very well written by someone who appears to have gone through a tough time. |
