Silently drifting towards the surface I sense your words coming back to life So many steps ahead you're walking now Walking into the world you so dearly loved The promises once trembled between your lips Clearly are forgotten now The sheets soft and warm feel cold as ice And the blanket has holes of lost love Absolute loneliness I hear closing by As my cigarette burns to ashes The smoke fills the emptiness of my room Expels the intoxicating scent you left behind My lights all broken smashed to the ground I claim the night and loathe the sight of sun The bottles build a pile over there in the corner And my floor is filled with your trash I let everything stink here in my domain Wet and rotten my stuff lies around In this solitude all hopes are forgotten And the dream once alight turns to dust Slowly I watch the curtain meets its end And the clapping starts one by one The show inhales for its final stage And blows red snow on my face My wishes never changed, they're eternal A longing for ultimate closure But your hair is stuck between my ribs And your steps cover my ground Your fear creeps from the cracks on my ceiling And your breathing steals me whole The sun settles where you're headed my love And your shadow never leaves my spot How far you can run doesnt matter For I will remain forever behind
