In grey skies above Darkened clouds appear A storm approaching So very near A clap of thunder Such a turbulent sound Forks of lightening Hit the ground As an orchestra playing Pounding on timpani drums Thunders resonant roar The storm it comes Like a conductor's baton Trees sway, from side to side The storm now upon us With no place to hide Spinning like a merry go round Ravaging all in its path Looking into the terrifying eye See nature unleash its wrath Then the sound of silence Lucent blue skies so clear Calm befalls around us The storm now gone and also our fear

Very discriptive!
I could picture it in my head!
I do like to watch a good storm! it's a shame
we don't get many here in england.
I look forward to reading more of your stuff! |

I loved the electric nature of this poem.
I miss the thunder, here in the Pacific Northwest
it rains a great deal but rarely thunders, unless
a tornado touched down, I will not wish another lol.
Incredible nature write, I would see where you do not often get big storms how it would be a bit spooky.
Mother nature is a powerful woman!
