The green still shocks me
like the way your eyes always did
like you, being here
i know what comes next
calm and radiant
sunsets that never go away
bold and brilliant
this time will you stay?
relentless
the looks you give
i take
they never leave
sunshine turns to rain
i sit and think of you
somehow i stay sane
all i have to cling to
asking me to be fearless
telling me to believe
dare me to stay, to dream
to love and be irrational
calm and radiant
sunsets that never go away
bold and brilliant
this time will you stay?
if i die soon after i wake
let it be before the summer fades
i want a part of me,
to stay with you.
