Here I stand on my cardboard soap box In nothing but my dirty clothing and a worn pair of socks Trying to make people see What everyday does to me
I live under your highway Yes, you pass me everyday but does anyone listen to my cries for help No I've given up on that long ago now would you even notice if I where to die
I'm of the same race I have skin I just don't have my own place which you seem to think is a chose and a sin
I want to have a home I'm tired of being alone Homeless with out a friend Stuck here in the cold until someone brings homelessness to an end

Alas the homeless and where they live
And would they move if you were to give
A cardboard box a place called home
Perhaps some warmth from a piece of foam
There they will stay until when
We find resolution now, not then.
an interesting subject you found thanks for sharing
