When Lunas fair and paling light fell softly on the shores, Upon the highest tower reach, amidst the dreary moors, I felt the pains of sorrow deep within my heavy heart, When from the midst of slumber came a storm to rend apart
The feelings of my being and most precious to my life; Of which contends the mortal bane of tragic sacrifice. For adrift the moonlit hours hailed my one and only love Whose pale intrepid figure bore a jealousy above.
So from the thick and foggy air there came a vision wrought Of voices bearing vicious tongues who tied her Gordian knot. Their clever words and influence caused darkness to befall The mind of mine Elizabeth so frail in her withdrawal.
Through pouring rain I heard a whisper though Id been asleep And woke to further pleadings as I stumbled through the deep. Where ghostly phantoms guide me neath the halls of somber stone To where my skin felt thrashing winds that left me all alone.
Across the open rampart and amidst the pouring rain I seen my worldly goddess standing stark in her disdain. Emotions quickly left her like a shade within the light Until they fully claimed her as their victim of the night.
Without the heart to hear my words she closed her cloudy eyes Bereft of further anguish as she cast her own demise. She lay her arms across her chest as though to fall asleep And slowly fell from off the highest wall within our keep.
I ran with haste and beating heart like never felt before Unto the weeping parapet the gleaming rain adored. My hands fell hard upon the stone as brace for my mistrust Whilst over leaned I spied a site so falsely found as just.
Her body lay upon the sand as sordid thoughts ensued. And in my frail and twisting heart believed not what I viewed. Until from out the skyline where the trees marked near the end I seen a flying creature whom Id yet to comprehend.
Its morbid sight beguiled all the senses I beheld Whilst all the sadness in me fell to anger as it swelled. The beast from out the shadows glided quickly to the place Where my fallen love sat silent in her empty mortal grace.
The devil carried somber chains that wrapped her bodys mind And when he pulled, unleashed her soul entrapped as he designed. His captive now the mortals soul, he left with equal haste, Beyond the forest shoreline where his pathway he retraced.
With violence in my chambers and the eldritch on my thoughts I left to find that demon and reclaim what god had wrought. Id no shelter for discernment nor a mind of what arose But ran adrift the woodland trees for reasons no one knows.
In time I found my senses as the blinding passion fled But still the recent rupture levied sadness for the dead. My pace had slowly lessened as fatigue had taken hold Whilst frenzy left me conscious in an unfamiliar cold.
A ways within the forest, far beyond Id ever seen I stumbled through the bushes to a place of evil mien. Where darkness soon enveloped all the braces of my will And left me standing dumbstruck nigh adrift an eerie thrill.
A haunting gate of blackened stone inlaid with morbid scenes Of wingd devils bearing all the nightmares of a dream. And with a creeping stature opened wide to let me in. To where I strode with fervor and lament for mortal sin.

Exceptional writing! I was beguiled from the very first verse. But I'm afraid
there is nothing I could offer that could possibly even come CLOSE to doing
this justice. I usually don't have the patience to read longer works, (the curse
of never having enough time), but this was so intriguing I was compelled. You
write with exceptional skill. I don't think the story would have been as
exciting without your perfect metre and rhyme. This was an extreme
pleasure to read.
