My Mothers Love
By Leticia Lee-Middleton

A mothers love.
Stronger than any force, any man or woman
More compassionate than a lover, yet fiercer than a lion.
Was there from the start.
Will be there in the end.
A mothers love you cant pretend.

A mothers love can stand through anything.
Through newborn days with nonsense tears and waking in the night.
Through Toddler years,
The midnight fears of monsters, goons, and ghouls.
Through the teenage years,
With attitude, change, and puberty.
Your babys not what she used to be.

My mothers love is stronger, though.
For this, I know is true.
Because, yes, we have been through a lot.
But my mothers love, I havent forgot.
Through fights and yells and almost hell.
I know that when Im down and blue,
Shell cuddle me up and say I Love You

And sometimes when I feel frustrated and confused
I may say to her I Hate You!
I hope she knows that its not true.
Because I say nonsense when Im Mad.
And though weve had our share of fights,
In the end I know Ill be alright.

Happy Mothers Day,Mom!!

Your poem speaks nothing but truth, as for myself I lost my mother in 2004, but even now I can feel her love. Well done, I enjoyed the read.
