How can you trust
once beloved,
when the burden of lies
leaves you stoned
in happiness of being nave.
How can you believe,
in something
that tears you apart
keeping you alive
in pain.
How can someone
tell you
that unforgettable words,
of despair and joy
and guide you into vain.
Simply grows,
but hardly dies.
Left you like meat
surrounded by death.
Eaten by flies
this carrion of love.
