The lie that keeps me sane

The lie that keeps me sane Is the one that never had to be told The lie that wouldn't drive me insane Would make me have my soul sold
I can tell a lie and not care But the lie is still there Because you can't mess it when it's told For the lie will be there forever in your soul
You can't tell them all about you Then what would they do Your lie reviled Your fate would be sealed
No less just because you didn't want people to know what goes on in your brain The best lie to me is the one never told for that's the lie that keeps me sane For once your lie is told Your soul is sold And I would worry that the rest of my story would unfold

Great writing! Your poem speaks great wisdom about lies. I love it! |
