Friendly Fires

Mobile autos slipping by the reflective pane, Evergreens confidently stand proudly tall, Dark shapes clamber past the visions front, A drop of lonely rain, creeps down the glass.
Slightly lit golden tasseled clouds cling tight, Light pushes past persuading a warm touch, Time spun the day, breaks away care free, Finally full embrace takes shape, friendly fire.
Gross attempt to miscalculate the future, Front aligned to the deep seas of thoughts, Broken memories pass backwards to fade, Beginning eager smiles, growing new heat.
Friendly fires, steam my mind, burn hot white, Lifes shell peels down, reveal new skin now, Growing heat, relentless beat, the heart, Time flies down, up rises crowns, no more love.

Your imagery in this poem is amazing. I can see every image vividly. It also got me thinking. This poem is what great poetry is all about! |
