Shoe after shoe, try them on for size and none seem to fit. Few miles on her heels, sore on her feet covered in blisters and false advertising. Glass slippers left behind, alongside the combat boots their beauty forgotten. Her buggy is full again now, cheap sales are recognized and novelty ignored. Another shoe, another bumpy road.

I find this poem quite intriguing and refreshing. I myself am not comfortable in high heels. I see the glass slippers as representing a period in your life in which you knew something was not fitting to your personality, but often the reader sees something the writer does not intend in his or her poetry. Again I love this poem and how you put your own personal experience in it! Great job! |
