Give me your tired, your poor Should we build a bigger fence, shut the door? These are the same that volunteer to fight our war These, our brothers and sisters of the same rapport
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free United, though we dont always agree The pursuit of happiness we guarantee The King of heaven has issued this decree
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore The great national seal, we all make the eagle soar Our brave soldiers, honor and sacrifice we adore
Send these, the homeless, temptest-tost to me Land of the brave, home of the free My country tis of thee, Sweet land of liberty From sea to shining sea
I lift my lamp beside the golden door! This beautiful land with its golden shore Gods country, brothers and sisters come; explore
The United States of America, Remember; why we fight The Statue of Liberty, her torch shines bright Its We the people, not the political left or right

Wow, I really loved your write. I joined the military about a half year ago and this war is still fairly new to me. Sometimes I wonder what it is I'm really fighting for but reading this helped me put it in a new perspective. Thank you :) |
