So onward it goes, where it stops, no one knows
This river of life continues to flow
Where it leads, I still dont know
Im along for the ride, trying to enjoy the show
God nurtured the seed, and I continue to grow
Im searching for wisdom, though painful lessons to acquire
Ive had my share of heaven, but Ive also been through the fire
I continue on, doing all that I require
The future, no longer dark and dire
Through all the struggles, the hand dealt in this life
I came out smelling like a rose, through all the pain and strife
I build my treasure in heaven, for the afterlife
This story isnt over, its far from done
Im thankful to my heavenly Father and his Son
Considering the price I paid, its fair to say, Ive won
As the sunrises on this monotonous day
Does it sound ungrateful to say it this way?
I love the peace and quiet; I hope its here to stay
Its been a tough road; it made me the man I am today

A beautiful and promising write... I especiallly loved this line....
