A moment
a simple, quiet moment
more awake than usual
more aware
A hand
a relaxed, patient hand
etched with unique scars
etched stories
My life
my pointless chaotic life
a beautiful finite ride
a gift
My time
my right to time
usually perturbed by pain
usually hopeless
But now
but this moment now
I watch my hand
I see
Im alive
Im truly, honestly alive
with a perfect gift;
with dreams
Im aware
Im capable and aware
to give endless love
to hope
This time
this is my time
theres plenty to give
theres potential
This moment
this simple, quiet moment
I finally see myself
I smile.
