An Ode to Happiness
A tickle within your heart
What is this feeling?
Where did it come from?
Butterflies floating
In your red center
In your soul
On the outside, everything is bliss
An ice cream sundae for one
A soothing bubble bath
Cuddling up with your cat
Something to satisfy your every nerve
Now, you are on a tropical island
You are a palm tree
The sun warms you up
The sea breeze cools you off
The calypso music in the background
Keeps you entertained
The island lives just for you
Just to please you
To give you those butterflies
In your red center
In your soul
You aren't into the tropics? That's okay
You are on a solitary mountain top
Just reaching the summit
Mission accomplished
The rocks surrounding you are pieces of candy
One piece after another
A smile comes out of hiding
A smile on every single tooth
The mountain lives just for you
The air turns into MUS-ic
The air smells like MAN-go
Why mango?
Because that's your favorite scent
That tickle in your heart
Is only one thing
Your heart is a book of dreams
A book of memories
But sometimes
The tickle can spread out to reach others
And tickle their own
Spanning the wings
Of the greatest thing ever known
