Euphoria Doesn't Last

Euphoria does not last
Its a feeling almost indescribable
A stimulation of happiness, wellbeing and ultimate control
unknown to man in a natural mortal brain
A shy girls ticket to lots of friends.
An experience you will want again, but if you chase it, things change.
As time goes on, and weeks of usage mount, youll be left in no doubt.
These nights of euphoria.. They are running out.
Your body will pass, through a series of stages, as it adapts to its regular intoxication, and your tolerance creeps slowly, steadily higher.
Eventually, euphoria will fade and reverse, on a run, after a little time of pleasurable increased concentration and wellbeing, like several times before, youll feel it turning. Youll become anxious, shoulders hunch, you will ache from exhaustion and tension, lights, vivid and overpowering blinding your eyes, in the street, distant objects, trees, morph into people, lips bitten raw, nothing will be able to stop your tongue erratically exploring your mouth, a mouth that no amount of refreshment can moisten.
After a while reliance kicks in.
I write this to myself. And I ask myself, is it worth it? Just for that few hours where this euphoria I describe is not there, but floats past me like faint music in the wind, long enough for me to be able to catch a couple of notes.
Well is it worth it? I ask myself again, the days on end of torture for the few hours where I believe euphoria, beautiful euphoria will return?
Is it worth it? Im still not sure yet.
And that will be my downfall.

Deep impact here, so much going on, but every word is true. I've asked myself this very question too many times, but yet I can never answer it, well done, thanks for the read.
