Can't you see me standing,
Waiting,
Wanting,
You cannot see me here,
Laughing at your thoughts,
Those useless thoughts,
Those angry thoughts.

If you could see me standing,
Waiting,
Wanting,
You would see me here,
Crying at your thoughts,
Those painful thoughts,
Those lonely thoughts.

When will you see me standing,
Waiting,
Wanting,
Would you care that I am here,
Lost in your thoughts,
Those maddening thoughts,
Whistle in your mind.

You will never see me standing,
Waiting,
Wanting,
I will always, still, be here,
Marching with your thoughts,
Those simple thoughts,
Stone on stone collide.

What when I'm not standing,
Waiting,
Wanting,
What when I'm no longer here,
The barrier of your thoughts,
Those massing thoughts,
The army on your mind.

I am never standing,
Waiting,
Wanting,
I am never here,
Stood amongst your thoughts,
Those forgotten thoughts,
The backdrop of your life.
