I miss you
I miss your smile
the warmth of your laugh
the joy of your heart
I miss the moments
the gentle, quiet times
the curls in your hair
and the way you fell
into my arms
to cry into my heart
to cry into my soul
I miss you
and the way we were
unbroken
we danced, we sang
we were
I try to stand
but inside I break
I cannot catch you
if now you fall
my heart was broken
I hide it's pain
I miss your touch
but it will never feel
as it once was
you cast aside
I die inside
I miss you
but I'll move on
as you have done
with another heart
with another soul
I miss you
but my broken heart
is not for you to fix.
