The shadow covers the field
leaving the light
with limited heartbeats left.
Night,
the second half of the day
Where some start a new.
The moon is hidden
on a night as black as pitch
where you embrace
that light feeling
that darkness brings upon
of which, this time
becomes too heavy for lids
to stay split and wide
You settle into an uncontrolled land
where gravity is no problem
a dream or a nightmare
is waiting in the wings to ambush
a free unguarded soul.
